| Report Summary: |
Many large organisations have recognised the necessity of breaking down their existing complex and costly network and IT infrastructures and replacing them with islands of secured information, to which only trusted partners, customers and suppliers have access. Indeed, in an increasingly competitive world, it is only by improving the flow of accurate and sensitive information to customers and partners and by simplifying IT infrastructures that a large and complex business can survive and prosper.
This discussion paper argues that moving securely to the Island World starts with a single step: the acknowledgement of the fundamental potential of cryptography in securing your organisation’s sensitive information whether in transit or at rest.
