Knowledge management(KM) can be defined as the gathering,
logging, organising and storing the individual and accumulated knowledge
of workers and work groups, within an organisation, and making the knowledge
base available to others in the organisation. The information is housed
in a database, known as a Knowledge Base and is used to enhance the organisational
performance of workplace, school, college, etc. Knowledge Management helps
the organsation's key resources to work in a more efficient and effective
manner.
